We will discuss the changing views on the metaphysical throughout the 19th century and the differing views within the varying secularist movements. We will expose the tricks of the frauds, as well as the methods of the more scrupulous within the community. Mesmerist, Spiritualist, Psychic or Fraud, what side do you think you will find yourself on? This lecture will approach the metaphysical movements of the era with scientific reserve, but an open mind!
