Mid 19th Century Book Club $10-Full
Thursday Night at 7pm
Half Full Coffee and Wine Bar
New to Corsets & Cravats this year. Each year we will explore a highly influential book that people would be familiar with in the period. We will start this year off with a bang and read Uncle Tom's Cabin; or, Life Among the Lowly by Harriet Beecher Stowe. Published in 1852 the book inspired some and outraged others. Look at period praise and criticism as well as looking at the book from a modern point of view.

Where are you Going?
Friday Night at 7 to 9 pm
The Newberry Opera House
Everyone had so much fun last year sharing their costume interpretations of the years 1830 to 1870 that we are making it a regular part of the Friday night social and adding a theme. This year’s theme is “Where Are You Going?”. Pick a destination, your attire, and tell us where you’re going. Is it to the beach? A funeral? Hiking a mountain? Dancing at a ball? Heading to bed for a good night’s sleep? Or maybe journeying into the pages of a period novel? We can’t wait to see your creativity!
The Friday social is included in the weekend registration.
